Description

Will some people be eternally lost? Or will God save everyone? Can a Christian be biblically faithful and believe in universal salvation? In this clear, easy to read book, Curt Parton examines the scriptural and theological foundations for our traditional view of hell and the case for universal restoration. The eternal conscious torment of the lost isn't nearly as biblically certain as has been thought, and the belief that all will be saved is surprisingly robust scripturally and theologically. Which view is more biblically sound? Which understanding is most in harmony with the gospel? A growing number of believers are rediscovering the historic Christian belief that God will ultimately reconcile and restore all of his creation to himself through Christ. What does it truly mean for God's love and truth to completely triumph over sin, death, and hell? This book explores the reasons Christians believe what they do about hell, what the Scriptures actually say about hell and judgment, the arguments for and against each view, and how this all relates to the biblical character of God. Disover why many believe God won't relent Until the Last One's Found.

Critic Reviews

"Curt Parton is a veteran evangelical pastor who is active in church ministry. His book Until the Last One's Found addresses this important question: What do the Scriptures teach will happen to those who die without believing in Jesus? His reasons for believing that Jesus will restore all to worship God are compelling. I enthusiastically recommend Until the Last One's Found--especially to evangelical pastors."
--John Hopler, former director, Great Commission Churches

"Curt Parton has crafted a thoughtful and engaging narrative that eloquently captures the essence of universalism, making it accessible and relevant to contemporary readers. The book is not only a comprehensive study of universalist thought but also a profound meditation on the values of compassion, inclusivity, and the intrinsic worth of every individual."
--Enrique R. Ramos, dean, General Lutheran Church

For some years I have been looking for an introductory book I can readily give to evangelicals on Ultimate Restoration. I wanted one that provides a solid overview and convincing case for Ultimate Restoration (UR) from a scriptural, theological and historical basis. While there are excellent books available on UR, they are not ones you can readily give to the average evangelical pastor or church member.
This book fills that gap perfectly. The books structure is very well thought out and Curt’s style of writing (and reading if you get the audio version) is gently persuasive.
While the book is very easy to read, it still contains enough exegetical and theological force to tackle the core issues and convincingly demonstrate the case for UR.
I am so taken with this book that I have already read it, purchased 2 copies to give away and downloaded the audio book!
I cannot recommend this book highly enough! Buy it, read it, and buy 2 more copies to give away.

This is a book I have been waiting for! A well written, well thought out and accessible introduction to Ultimate Restoration (UR) from an evangelical perspective. Curt is a pastor with a well rounded grasp of the issues scripturally, theologically and historically. The book is well set out and covers the key points brilliantly. I have already purchased 3 copies and will likely buy many more to hand out to my evangelical friends so they can know how UR is the best way to read and understand the story of the Bible and the God who will, in the end, restore ALL things.
