About the Author

Passionate about history, literature, and Japan, Corinne Delporte has always had her nose in books and ideas for stories since childhood. In 2015, she moved to Montreal, where she deepened her love for books by becoming a children’s book editor. The power of stories to make children dream, laugh, and think encourages her to start writing stories herself. Nature, the magic lying in small daily things and imaginary worlds are sources of inspiration for her. It was on a summer rainy day when her daughter brought a tablecloth and salad to the snails in their garden that she had the idea of the Snail family, whose first adventures were published in 2022 with A Picnic In the Rain .Célia Molinari Sebastià a trained graphic designer, has been collecting children's books for as long as she can remember. Her passion led her to work for several years in a youth publishing house in Montreal. As a multidisciplinary artist, she has conducted workshops on traditional engraving and screen printing. She has also illustrated several projects for educational applications aimed at a young audience. Her artistic practice, heavily influenced by fauna and flora, led her to become a horticulturist in 2021. Today, through her two professions, working with her hands in the soil and in painting, Célia finds her creative balance. The Treasure Hunt is her second children's book, following A Picnic In the Rain.Authentic, transparent and strongly defining herself through her sensory hypersensitivity, Vanessa Bergeron fully embraces the uniqueness of her life path. After getting her degree in English Studies, she worked as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, then dove head first into the wonderful world of non-profit organizations. She spent six years facilitating workshops in schools to prevent violence against children, a year and a half supporting young women living with disabilities and now works as a counselor and prevention agent in a sexual assault help centre. Also a singer and an author, Vanessa loves having more than one string to her bow and using those strings to achieve balance. Having found her own perfect little cocoon in the Eastern Townships area, surrounded with trees and animals, she firmly believes that connecting with oneself, with nature and with others are the keys to fulfilment.
