Critics Review

This book is a must if you are a first-time dog owner; or an experienced dog owner who wishes to know more. It is a book to recommend to your clients at any stage of ownership, as it guides the reader through choosing a vet, choosing a dog, and looking after the dog for the rest of its life. It does this in a way that only an experienced vet can do… through the magnifying glass of years in practice. – Julian Hoad, President, British Small Animal Veterinary AssociationChristopher Little has written this book for conscientious dog owners. If I were his editor I’d tell him that this logical and comprehensive review of what he learned over 40 years as a university teacher, researcher and clinical vet is just as useful to vets and vet nurses as it is for people who live with dogs or people thinking about living with dogs. – Bruce Fogle
