Summary
Why “Tuning the Archer” Is So Useful
1. Archery-Specific Exercises
Unlike general fitness books, Tuning the Archer is written specifically for archers. The exercises target the muscles and movements used in archery for example, shoulder stability, back strength, posture, and flexibility. It includes routines that require minimal equipment (just your own body or resistance bands), so archers can do them at home or on the range. Includes many images.

About The Author
Christine Nichols
Christine Nichols is an experienced archery coach, continually seeking to deepen her understanding of the sport, both as an archer, coach, and mentor. Her first book, Tuning the Archer, began as a project for the Level 3 coaching course but quickly grew into a far more comprehensive work.
Christine has coached at clubs across Sussex, Kent, and Surrey, as well as supporting archers from much farther afield. She takes the greatest satisfaction in working with archers who are truly committed—those willing to put in the time, effort, and discipline needed to build strength, refine technique, and elevate their performance.
Her primary bow styles are Recurve and Longbow, and she occasionally shoots her Asiatic Horsebows as well.
