About The Author
Chris 'Wolfie' Cooper
Chris, born in 1964, became a lorry driver in 1986 at the age of 22. What was meant to be a temporary job has become a nearly 40-year career. In his early years, he traveled around Europe. Returning to UK work in 2001, he has worked for a potato merchant, a carrier of Portakabins, and in both general and bulk haulage. He has also worked in a transport office and currently delivers new cars for Volvo north east.
He became an author after claiming he could write a better book on the A1 than one that had been published. Interested in history and photography, he enjoyed the task and decided to write more. His interests include reading history, landscape photography, model making, model engineering, and motorbikes.
Chris lives in rural North Yorkshire on the edge of the North York Moors with partner Liz and dogs Benji and Elton.
