For centuries, The Four Kingdoms, the Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, and Spades, waged war upon each other. To stem the bloodshed, the Four of a Kind, an order of wise and holy men, were entrusted to keep the peace at any cost. But the wheels of war are turning once more. All eyes are on Jack, the young Prince of Spades, and he is eager to prove to the royal court and himself that he's worthy of the crown. It is up to Jack to round up the enemies of the Spade Crown and deliver the King's justice. As the King's enemies grow more desperate, their murderous aim turns to Prince Jack.
"A unique take on playing card fantasy...read this if you like fiction that's deeply versed in fable and lore, medieval settings, and frequent use of dry wit and cynical humour." - Cheryl Cottrell-Smith, The Pulp Magazine
"There's a lot to love and a lot to learn with The Saga of The Jack of Spades and the appeal is most certainly there for all fans of action fantasy period fiction or whatever the Hell it is you want to refer to it by - let's just say for now that Kantor and Schneider have successfully launched a brand new universe modeled around a deck of cards and they pulled it off beautifully." - Keven Skinner, Fox Force Five
