Summary

The unexpected new owner of an Irish pub is in for a big surprise when she discovers a body before the ink can even dry on the deed.

A new cozy mystery series, perfect for fans of Carlene O’Connor and Ellie Brannigan.

Critics Review

Praise for A Pint of Murder:
“A wry and charming mystery that immerses the reader in Irish culture. The novel begins with one of my favorite classical tropes: the reading of a will and the aftermath of an unexpected bequest. This is a fun, engaging mystery, and fans of Mary Carter will surely enjoy A Pint of Murder.”
—Julia Buckley, bestselling author of the Writer’s Apprentice Mystery series

“Raise a glass to Cate Malone and A Pint of Murder, first in the delightful new Irish Pub Mysteries. No one in the extended Dolan clan is more surprised than Alanna, the American cousin, when the patriarch leaves her his famed music pub in Ballyojeez—Ballinagis, in Irish. But though Alanna is a professional sound engineer who knows the town well from summers with her grandfather, she’s still a stranger to those suspicious of her motives and her plans, and they are more than willing to suspect her when death plucks a string. Fans of Sheila Connolly’s County Cork Mysteries will drink up this charming cozy mystery.”
—Leslie Budewitz, three-time Agatha Award-winning author of the Spice Shop Mysteries

About The Author

Cate Malone

Cate Malone is a full-time novelist who began writing around age six, when she submitted three poems to a school publication. The teacher producing the magazine selected the one she thought was by far the worst but also told her to keep writing, which she has. She has also held the usual grab bag of jobs usually seen in an authorial biography, including public library volunteer (at ages nine and ten), archival assistant, cannery worker, and web designer. Writing books is better.

She was born and raised in Alaska and now lives with her family in her ancestral homeland of Ireland.
