About The Author
Carrie Gallasch
Carrie Gallasch is an award-winning picture book author and early childhood teacher from rural South Australia. Her first story, Stitches and Stuffing, received a Notable award by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) in 2018, and her latest release, Market Day, was Shortlisted by the CBCA in 2023.
Kïa {kee-ya} Hing Fay is a freelance illustrator and storyteller based in Brisbane/Meanjin. Known for her playful cut-paper style, Kïa draws upon simple shapes & colour to share tales of everyday things. Inspired by vintage design, orderly collections & nature studies, Kïa’s work evokes a new nostalgia – where something fresh is sparked by something old.
