I was introduced to Swete Woolies by one of my kids a while back, and I remember one of the first thoughts that came to mind was that they deserved to be in a book. I started to follow Carolyn, and each time she showed us someone new, I thought; there’s another story, and another, etc. Her little people are so full of life and character they seem almost alive. What a thrill it was to discover the family was actually going to be published! And Carolyn does not disappoint. The art is breathtaking, the stories are timeless, and the one-of-a-kind nature of this book is unmatched.
This beauty is the perfect gift for anyone; young or old, girl or boy, yourself or someone else.
Congratulations Carolyn, you made something unique and wonderful. A treasure to be handed down for generations. Thank you.

I would give this enchanting book ten stars if I could. The senior dolls this author created in felting are so authentic and with so much character, and personality. Each has a quaint, fun name and a “swete” little story. Buy it for yourself, your grand children, and a friend that needs a little magic.
A Keepsake!

Absolutely beautiful book of photos of needle sculpted dolls (and their stories!!) by an incredibly talented fiber artist. I think it makes for a fabulous table book and wonderful to share with your children or grandchildren.
Such Skill and Expression!

I so love this book that I am keeping it for myself and ordered two more to give to my grandchildren❣️Carolyn St. Claire’s amazing felted works are so expressive and skillfully done! And it’s so wonderful to see them so carefully photographed. I’m enjoying moments when I get to read the stories
About The Author
Carolyn St Clair
Author Biography
After retiring from a long career in nursing in 2018, I discovered the art of needle felting. My initial attempts, particularly my first owl, unexpectedly set me on a new path. I quickly developed a passion for creating dolls “of a certain age,” striving to capture their inner spirit and the often-overlooked beauty of aging.
As I dedicated hours to crafting each doll, memories of my childhood in England resurfaced. This rediscovery of my eight-year-old self and her vivid imagination inspired me to begin writing stories that I knew she would enjoy. These memories and the joy of storytelling have become intrinsically linked to creating each new doll, giving me a profound sense of coming full circle.
I currently reside in Southern Oregon, a beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest, with my husband, Terry. I am embracing this unexpected and fulfilling chapter of my life.
