Carolyn Chute is the author of The Beans of Egypt, Maine; LetourneauAAA1/2s Used Auto Parts; Snow Man; and Merry Men, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. She has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Thorton Wilder Fellowship. She currently lives in Maine with her husband.
