What They're Saying

Critics Review

Everything about the characters and the writing feels exactly right, and the result is a book that’s heartbreaking and funny and brilliant. - HERALD SUN

Ultimately powerful exploration of grief from a skillful and original new voice. - KIRKUS REVIEWS

Imagine THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY meets THE ROSIE PROJECT - MARIE CLAIRE

This is a story of loss and hope with one of the most vivid casts of characters I’ve come across. In particular, it is red-wellied, seven-year-old Millie our heart weeps and soars for. A great read with ballsy, brilliant writing. - MATT HAIG, author of THE HUMANS

Seven-year-old Millie Bird has lost her mother and, with the help of 82-year-old Agatha Pantha, 87-year-old Karl the Typist, and Manny the store mannequin, she sets out to find her. These curious characters shine from the pages of Brooke Davis’ enchanting debut novel … Lost & Found is a highly entertaining road trip and much, much more. Told with childlike perspective, and bubbling with warmth and humour, it also explores loss, death, love and trust. - WEST AUSTRALIAN

Lost & Found expresses heartfelt and profound humanity - The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and Canberra Times

a lovely, whimsical story

- Good Reading
