Critics Review

‘Brigit has a rare gift for paying attention. The Wild Within invites us to see that the ordinary plants around us are not just scenery but companions, teachers and quiet invitations to belong more fully to the living world’ Tom Massey, author of The Resilient Garden

‘Spell-crafting prose… it has reminded me to remain alert to the enchantment that exists inside all that grows, whatever season of our lives we’re in’ Resurgence& Ecologist

‘[This book] provided companionship and succour, a deeper understanding of herbalism and a deep appreciation of the alchemy and intelligence of Nature’ Permaculture magazine

The Wild Within is a gentle and beautifully written invitation to slow down and remember our relationship with the living world. Through stories of plants, place and personal healing, Brigit Anna McNeill shows how nature meets us exactly where we are, as a companion in times of change and recovery… A thoughtful and heart-opening read for anyone drawn to plants, healing and the quiet magic of paying attention’ Kaz Goodweather, Community Herbalist, Seed Sistas

‘Sumptuous, luminous and deeply tender, Brigit Anna McNeill’s prose soars above most in the genre. The Wild Within is a profoundly felt book that lingers long after the final page, leaving an earthy, balmy imprint on any reader’ Sophie Pavelle, author of To Have Or To Hold: Nature’s Hidden Relationships
