What They're Saying

Critics Review

“Wasson explores hypermasculinity and unhealthy intergenerational dynamics among men and boys. An introspective, character-driven look at masculinity and self-acceptance.” – Kirkus Reviews

“Wasson’s novel is agreeable and its characters empathetic. A good read for a long winter night.” – Booklist

“A timely read on celebrity, masculinity, and the messy legacies young people inherit.” – Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books

“Wasson blends comedy and drama into a cinematic, heartfelt story that explores themes of toxic masculinity, intergenerational conflict, and the complex realities of popularity and social recognition. At the core of this novel is a genuine earnestness and an enemies-to-lovers romance.” – Publishers Weekly
