The first retrospective publication on one of the greatest contemporary Chinese artists, Gao Bo.
Comprising four volumes in one slipcase, this is the first retrospective publication on the great contemporary Chinese artist, Gao Bo. Shedding much light on Gao Bo's photography, installations and projects, it is released to coincide with the most important and complete exhibition of the artist's work opening at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris at the end of February.
Gao Bo (b. 1964) is a noted Chinese photographer, perhaps most renowned for his work on Tibet. He is also an exhibition curator, and is involved in design and architecture projects. A member of the Chinese Society of Photographers, as well as a founding member and president of the China Heritage Society and of the VU agency in France, the artist publishes in the leading international magazines. Gao Bo won first prize in China's National Photography Contest in 1986, and a UNESCO-Germany award for the "world's most beautiful book". Between 1996 and 2000s, his exhibition Gao Bo Photo Tibet: 1933-1995 was shown in FNAC photo galleries around the world.
