Billy Monger, nicknamed “Billy Whizz,” discovered his passion for racing at the tender age of two when his father gifted him his first go-kart. Together, they dominated the junior racing circuit before transitioning to F4. A severe accident tragically led to the amputation of both of Billy’s legs. However, demonstrating extraordinary resilience, Billy not only returned to racing but also achieved victory in the F3 category. His inspiring journey of determination, perseverance, and positivity resonated deeply with the public, earning him the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award in 2018.

Now 25, Billy’s pursuits have expanded beyond the racetrack. He continues his work as a pundit for F1 and has showcased his versatility on television shows like “Strictly Come Dancing” and “Race Across the World.” Two BBC documentaries, “Driven” and “The Race is On,” have chronicled his life. After embracing running, cycling, and swimming, Billy has become an Ironman world-record holder, recognized as a Guinness World Record Icon. He is now aiming to compete in the 2028 Paralympics and has impressively raised over £4.5 million for Comic Relief.

Seth Burkett hails from Stamford, Lincolnshire. At 18, he moved to Brazil to pursue a career in professional football.
