Critic Reviews

“" Refuge is a revelation! BillCampbell and Louis Netter's beautifully uncanny and frenetichistorical fiction story is a stellar entry into the weird westerncanon. Some of the most fitting words for this powerful and grippinggraphic novel are 'ingenious,' 'epic,' 'bold,' and 'necessary.'Campbell's deft characterizations spring to life with the wild andabstract renderings of Netter's confident pen. Spare not one moment and get on the trail tofind REFUGE." -- John Jennings , Hugo, Eisner, and BramStoker award-winning comics creator ( Parable of the Sower: A GraphicNovel Adaptation and Kindred: A Graphic Novel Adaptation ) "In the hidden places of our nation wecan find refuge from the bloody oppression of American empire. Wemight find, to our horror, that we've brought familiar pieces ofthat violence with us. This stirring graphic novel shows us onewinding road toward a promised land, and the tragic detours along theway." -- Ben Passmore , author of Your BlackFriend and Other Strangers”
