A Brit in His Own Backyard: Bill Bryson’s Hilarious Farewell Tour

In 1995, before returning to the States, Bill Bryson embarked on a valedictory tour of Britain, the island he’d long called home. His mission? To take stock of the nation’s quirks and charms, analyzing what he loved about a country that gave the world Marmite, bizarre place names, and people who cheerfully say “Mustn’t grumble.” Join Bryson on this laugh-out-loud journey through the eccentricities of British life.
