What They're Saying

Critics Review

“This is an indispensable book with a giant heart.”

– Kate Evans, Author of the Best Bisexual Award-Winning, Call in Wonder, and Wanderland

“Queer Joy is a magnificent celebration of the gifts that being queer brings to our lives. Bethany’s storytelling is authentic and moving and remind us to treasure the shared experiences that connect us through time and distance. The art prompts are a beautiful way to honor our unique lives and create a visual reminder of the power of our spirit, journey, and shared community. I will continue to return to this book any time I need a nudge toward celebrating the good and remembering who I am!”

Devon Malia Deming, Author, Re-story: A journey of becoming

“Queer Joy is overflowing with delight, tenderness, and truth. As everyone’s Queer Joy Coach, Bethany weaves brave personal storytelling with gentle, affirming guidance, creating space for grief while inviting readers toward wholeness. This beautifully creative, interactive book helps readers piece together their own mosaic of Queer Joy, offering healing, beauty, and hope when joy can feel hard to find.”

– Rev. Dr. Katharine L. Steele, author of The Sacred Spark: Exploring the Hidden Gifts of ADHD in Spiritual Leadership

“Queer experience is often fragmented. This marvelous mosaic is a pattern for patching together the intricate pieces of ourselves and our journeys. Each chapter a tile, blending brokenness and beauty, melding sorrow and joy.”

Rebecca Wilson, author of Unraveling and Not My Grandmother’s Hymnal
