BeKa is a code name for the French writing duo Caroline Roque and Bertrand Escaich, both based in Toulouse, France. Caroline, previously a doctoral student in biology, discovered a passion for storytelling. Bertrand, a known comic scriptwriter, joined forces with Caroline, and together they have authored successful French series such as Chinn and The Misfits Club for Girls.

Maya, whose real name is Martina Mura, is an Italian cartoonist from Alghero, Sardinia. Her childhood passion for writing and drawing comics led her to study Manga at the European Manga Academy for two years. In 2021, Maya collaborated with BeKa, where her distinctive, lively linework beautifully portrays the experiences of two teenagers navigating young love.
