About The Author
Autumn Krause
Autumn Krause is the critically acclaimed author of the YA novels A Dress for the Wicked (Harper), Before the Devil Knows You’re Here (Peachtree Teen) and Grave Flowers (Walker Books). She’s a gothic romantic at heart and loves spinning stories full of macabre magic. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where her morbid imagination ran rampant - so much so that her parents became concerned and told her stop writing stories where everyone dies at the end. At sixteen, she got her first job at a bridal dress store. She continued to work as a bridal gown stylist for many years, eventually getting hired at an upscale Beverly Hills salon, which inspired her debut, A Dress for the Wicked. Most often, she can be found in Orange County, California, wearing a black lace dress while spending time with her husband and three children. Other times, she can be found out with lanterns in the tradition of Emily Dickinson, searching for herself and stories.
