Auke Kok
Auke Kok is a historian, writer, journalist, and columnist. He has authored several bestsellers in the Netherlands, earning nominations and awards for his work. His most recent book, 1936. We went to Berlin, was named Sports Book of the Year in 2017. Like the “total football” of the Dutch team heroes who reached the World Cup final in 1974, Kok is often referred to as a “total writer,” a description he considers the highest compliment.
