Anne Truitt
Anne Truitt [1921-2004]
Anne Truitt held her first solo exhibition at the André Emmerich Gallery in New York in 1963. Her work is included in the collections of prominent museums globally, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, all located in New York.
A recipient of numerous grants, Truitt also served as the director of the artists’ colony Yaddo for several years in the early 1990s. The Estate of Anne Truitt is currently represented by Matthew Marks Gallery.
