About The Author
Andrew M. Cubie
The Hon. Lord Cubie is a High Court Judge. He was previously a Sheriff of Glasgow and Strathkelvin and Deputy Director of the Judicial Institute for Scotland. He has recently been appointed to the Sheriff Appeal Court.
Sheriff Shona Gilroy was a career prosecutor, which included responsibility for Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) policy re domestic abuse, sexual offences, victims’ policy. She held posts as head of homicide and deaths, and head of appeals. She is a Solicitor advocate and was appointed as Sheriff in 2017.
Summary Sheriff Diana McConnell was a prosecutor with COPFS. She has a postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Medicine and an MSc in Criminal Justice. She was a Tutor and Lecturer in the postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in Criminal litigation, advocacy and Criminal Procedure. She was appointed as a Summary Sheriff in 2016.
