Andrée Poulin would read from morning to night if she could. After working as a journalist for many years, she went into international development. Her love of reading is what brought her to writing. She has written award-winning picture books and novels for children from 4–14 years old. Her stories deal with friendship, empathy, tolerance, poverty, and solidarity. By setting her stories in Canada, Africa, and Asia, she takes her readers on adventures discovering other cultures. She believes books can change the world. She loves to share her passion for reading and writing with children, and gives workshops for kids in schools and libraries.
