Description

Frances Brice has always been overshadowed by her sisters, so she's kept her nose in her books. But when her mother dies, her life is thrown into disarray. Taken in by her cousins, she must prepare for her first London Season by learning all the rules of propriety.

Viscount Wesley Ecclestone's character is tarnished by scandal. Having ruined a lady in London, he's run away to Northumberland to join his friends' hunting party. There, he's drawn to Frances, someone he should stay away from.

But Wesley can't resist offering Frances his friendship and with his help she attracts the attention of a suitor. Although this had been Wesley's intention, it doesn't stop him from wanting her for himself, and even though Frances is finally being accepted in Society, she can't help but be tempted by a little scandal.

About the Author

After ten years of devouring historical romance novels, Alyssa Martin was inspired to write her own. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies and English Literature from the University of Winchester and is currently finishing a Master of Arts in English Literature. She is particularly interested in 18th and 19th century literature and enjoys bringing it to life again in her novels. Her dream has always been to waltz with a rake, so she lives vicariously through her characters.
