About The Author
Alok Prasad Das
Dr. Alok Prasad Das received his PhD in Biotechnology from Siksha O Anusandhan University, India, and his M. Tech degree from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. Dr. Das’s research focuses on the development of bioleaching technologies for metal recovery and waste management. He has been associated with the development of a methodology whereby microbes could improve the biorecovery process of metals. In addition to this, he is also investigating advanced mineral processing technology with special emphasis on microbial resource recycling techniques, which are required for sustainable development and to accomplish present demand. This technology can be applied to other fields such as resource utilization, waste minimization and environmental remediation. His research interests also focus upon microbial biogeochemical cycling of manganese. Dr. Alok has more than 10 years of research experience on bioleaching, bioremediation, mineral recovery techniques with expertise on microbial culture isolation and screening studies, strain development and optimization studies for efficient mineral recovery.
Sunanda Mishra is a PhD research scholar with 5 years of research experience and has published several Books and Journal Articles. Currently her major work involves Heavy metal pollution, Environmental Biotechnology, and Environmental Microplastic and Microfiber Pollution and management, Sustainability.
Dr. Maulin P. Shah is an active researcher and microbial biotechnologist with diverse research interests. His primary interest is the environment, the quality of our living resources and the ways that bacteria can help to manage and degrade toxic wastes and restore environmental health. Consequently, his work has been focused to assess the impact of industrial pollution on microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation dependant and cultivation independent analysis.
