About The Author
Alexandra Navarre Davis
Alexandra Navarre Davis was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and currently resides in New Orleans with her family. She received two undergraduate degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She is also a proud alumna of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Coteau, Louisiana. She practices employment law and is an adjunct professor of law at Tulane Law School. Alexandra has always had a love of literature and dreamed of writing children’s picture books.
Illustrator Shannon Kelley Atwater was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and came to New Orleans to attend Loyola University, where she received a degree in visual arts. After selling her art on the fences of Jackson Square and opening a gallery space in the French Quarter, she now stays busy raising her three spirited children and taking on various commissioned projects. She is the author and illustrator of Alligators Don’t Like Flowers, Goodnight Pothole, and Five Little Termites and the illustrator of Rainbow Rodney, all published by Pelican.
