A Season of Thunder

For much of his life, Alex has been haunted by the mystery surrounding his shooting as a four-year-old boy in the New South Wales town of Kandos during the 1960's.

While searching for a lost friend in Europe, he discovers that the events of that horrible day might be linked to his father's wartime service in the former Yugoslavia. Alex Gerrick is a former senior public servant, political staffer, Army Reserve officer and Not-For-Profit CEO. He holds Masters' degrees from the National Defense College of the Philippines and Deakin University, as well as several other academic qualifications in the areas of military and European history, strategic and international policy and industrial relations. In 2023, Alex established his own publishing arm, Alex's Books. A Season of Thunder is his second book, having released his debut novel, A Season of Clouds, in February 2022.
