About The Author
Alex Foulkes
Alex Foulkes is from Stoke-on-Trent in the Midlands of England. She lives with her boyfriend and their dog, Mac. Alex has worked as a teaching assistant and a school librarian. When she’s not reading, she’s writing her own stories filled with chills, thrills, and maybe even a talking spider. Her debut Middle Grade novel, Rules for Vampires, was published in 2021, and the follow-up was released in Autumn 2022.
Sara Ogilvie is an illustrator and printmaker and was the 2011 BookTrust Best New Illustrators Award winner. Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, which she illustrated, was shortlisted for the 2010 Roald Dahl Funny Prize and the 2010 BookTrust Early Years Award. Sara lives in Newcastle upon Tyne in the north of England.
