About The Author
Alan Carr
Alan Carr, PhD, is Professor of Clinical Psychology and Director of Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology at University College Dublin, and a consultant clinical psychologist at the Clanwilliam Institute in Dublin. He has conducted clinical practice in the UK, Canada and Ireland. He has produced over 20 volumes and 350 papers and presentations in the areas of clinical psychology, family therapy and positive psychology. His more popular recent books include The Handbook of Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology and The Handbook of Intellectual Disability and Clinical Psychology Practice (co-edited with Christine Linehan, Gary O’Reilly, Patricia Noonan Walsh and John McEvoy), and Clinical Psychology: An Introduction.
Muireann McNulty, PhD, is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at University College Dublin. She developed the adult clinical psychology curriculum for the clinical psychology training programme at University College Dublin and co-ordinates teaching in that area. She has conducted clinical practice in the UK, the USA and Ireland.
