Aidan Ryan
Aidan Ryan was born in Athlone in 1946. He served as diocesan adviser for catechetics in primary schools (1969-1978) and as a missionary in Zambia (1978-1984). After a year as chaplain at AIT, he served as spiritual director at the Irish College in Rome (1985-1990), as parish priest in Carrickedmond Co. Longford, (1990-1999) and since 1999 as parish priest in Ballinahown parish (which is mostly in Co. Offaly). Over the past 30 years, he has led clergy retreats in most of the dioceses of Ireland.
