By artfully weaving cutting-edge academic research and theory into the clear, down-to-earth, and student-friendly narrative, the authors help students understand the complexity and depth of human communication and public speaking. The series of concepts builds logically through the chapter sequence, enablingstudents to further deepen their communication skills as they progress through the book. Critic Reviews

“"Well-resourced and researched, Understanding Human Communication would serve as an excellent textbook for any university's Intro. to Communication course. It is current and visually stimulating for today's college students and millennials."--Archie Wortham, Northeast Lakeview College "This is a good textbook for courses like COM101 because the writing flows well, the visual effects are appropriate and to the point, and the examples are current."--Yingfan Zhang, Suffolk County Community College "The text's clarity of examples, its meaningful exercises, its comprehensive nature, and its clear and easy-to-grasp format will make Understanding Human Communication a great asset for my class."--Angela King, Cape Cod Community College "This text offers a comprehensive approach to understanding basic human communication, which will equip students to comprehend and apply a range of principles and practices.
