What They're Saying

Critics Review

Bulletproof Family is more than a devotional–it’s a lifeline. In a world that relentlessly targets families with fear, distraction, and division, Adam Davis and Lt. Col. Dave Grossman have given us a powerful daily rhythm of truth, strength, and spiritual restoration. Their words are as practical as they are prophetic, calling each of us, especially those who serve on the front lines, to suit up in the full armor of God and lead our families with courage, faith, and love. As founders of REBOOT Recovery and authors of Healing What’s Hidden, we’ve walked with thousands of military and first responder families through the valleys of trauma and transformation. We can confidently say that this devotional will be a gift to every home that dares to believe healing is possible and that God is not done writing their story. Adam and Dave have crafted a battle plan for the soul of your family. Read it, live it, and pass it on.

Bulletproof Family is one book every law enforcement officer and all first responders should get and read with their families at home. There’s no more critical team in our lives than the family we have at home. I highly recommend this book because of the Scriptures, stories, prayers, and the practical counsel it provides.

Kyle Reyes, owner, The 1776 Project and its publications, Law Enforcement Today and Blue Lives Matter

As a frontline defender of our way of life, you find yourself engaged in a spiritual battle that, at its core, involves fallout from the destruction of the nuclear family. The very forces you confront in your day-to-day service will subversively work to take out your family from the inside should you neglect to fortify your home front. Bulletproof Family will provide you vital insights into the God you serve as well as resources and strategies he ordained that you might triumph over evil on the job and at home.

Jim Bontrager, immediate past president, the International Conference of Police Chaplains

As a pastor for over four decades, I’ve watched the unprecedented deconstruction of the home and family. If ever there were a need for “bulletproof” families, it is now! With so much confusion about it all, we need a clear and certain understanding of God’s definition and the Bible’s strategy for building homes that are spiritually grounded and resilient to the “whims” of the culture. In Bulletproof Family, Adam Davis and Dave Grossman have provided a ninety-day strategy of encouragement, inspiration, and challenge with tips and applications that will aid both the “sheepdog,” the family leader, and the entire family flock. It’s a kind of first aid for the home and the soul!

Ray Jones, senior pastor, Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Dothan, Alabama

In a world where our protectors carry immense burdens, Bulletproof Family offers a shield for the soul. Adam Davis and Lt. Col. Dave Grossman–two men who have stood on the front lines of service and spiritual warfare–deliver a powerful ninety-day journey of faith, strength, and restoration. This devotional is a lifeline for military and first responder families, providing daily encouragement, biblical grounding, and practical tools for resilience. Whether you’re a warrior, spouse, parent, or child of someone who serves, this book will help fortify your home with truth, hope, and the unshakeable peace of God.

Mick Yinger, executive director, First Responders’ Bridge

Too many warriors are being defeated at home. A real enemy is lurking at the back door while they are focused on saving the world. Bulletproof Family provides the opportunity to shore up the foundations at home, as God intended, so that families on the front lines can endure the battles, maintain hope, and understand their true mission.

Jeremy Wade, executive director, Mission First Alliance; former Seattle police officer
