About The Author
Adam B. Levy
Adam B. Levy is the Viola Ward Brinning and Elbert Calhoun Brinning Professor of Mathematics at Bowdoin College. He was recognized in 1997 with the college’s Sydney B. Karofsky Prize for excellence in undergraduate teaching and has published two research monographs in addition to dozens of journal articles in optimization. From 2004 to 2007, he was Bowdoin’s Associate Dean of Curriculum and Faculty Development, and he was Chair of the Mathematics Department for six years in the decade between 2007 and 2017.
