Critics Review

“I love this story because it’s about being an explorer—a reminder that we can all do this, but most people never get the chance. We all just need a friend to get us moving.”—Bill Rodgers, 4x winner of Boston and NYC Marathons“This book is like a daily run on the same course. Each page turn is like a new day, on a familiar course, but the nuances discovered along the way are palpable. Each word was like skipping and skimming along a gnarly trail, always taking in the hazards, as well as the beauty, cautious not to miss anything, as each footfall could create a new memory or help us recall one from the past.”—Roy Pirrung, ultramarathon and long-distance runner
