R.A. Montgomery
Raymond A. Montgomery is the founder of the Choose Your Own Adventure interactive children’s book series. Montgomery synthesized all of his varied educational and game theory work in the Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) series, first published by Bantam Books in 1979. The series grew into a publishing phenomenon with over 180 titles and 250 million copies published worldwide in over 35 languages. The books were unique in that they appealed equally to girls and boys, to reluctant readers and avid ones. The CYOA series has been used in classrooms from early elementary school to college.
