Josephine Berry

Josephine Berry

Josephine Berry is an art theorist, writer, and political thinker. She has authored works on art within the neoliberal context of creative cities, including No Room to Move: Radical Art in the Regenerate City (2010). Her more recent work, Art and (Bare) Life: A Biopolitical Inquiry (Sternberg, 2018), explores the function of autonomous art within contemporary biopower.

Berry is a Tutor at the Royal College of Art in London and lectures at Goldsmiths College. She also served as editor for the London-based cultural politics magazine Mute for over a decade.
