Groovy Chick
Bang on the Door was founded in 1988 by designers Karen Duncan and Samantha Stringle. Starting in a small flat in North London, the brand initially sold t-shirts at Camden Market.
The distinctive style of Bang on the Door features strong, simple, and humorous animal illustrations with bold black outlines and flat colors, which quickly gained popularity across all age groups. This design aesthetic was later extended to include characters, most notably the iconic Groovy Chick and her numerous friends, resulting in over a thousand characters to date.
Recent collaborations include partnerships with ASOS, Daisy Street, Primark, and Moonpig.
