J.M. DeMatteis
J.M. DeMatteis began his career as a music critic but transitioned to becoming an award-winning writer. He is best known for his personal works like Moonshadow and Brooklyn Dreams. DeMatteis started writing for DC Comics in the late 1970s and gained recognition for his work on the Justice League revamp in the 1980s, which earned him an Eisner Award in 2004 for Best Humor Publication. He has written for every major character at both DC and Marvel Comics, and has also successfully ventured into animation writing, contributing to episodes of Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
