About The Author
Joy Johannessen
Roxanne J. Coady is the founder, chief executive officer, and president of R.J. Julia Booksellers Ltd. She founded the bookstore with the aim of creating “a place of inspiration, information, and excitement.” Coady is also the founder of JustTheRightBook.com, a personalized book subscription service, and the founder and chair of Read to Grow, an organization dedicated to enhancing early literacy for children in Connecticut.
Joy Johannessen is an editor with extensive experience in the publishing industry, having worked at various houses including Chelsea House, Grove Press, and Oxford University Press. She previously held positions as a senior editor at HarperCollins Publishers and executive editor of Delphinium Books. Johannessen has collaborated with numerous authors, including Dorothy Allison, Michael Cunningham, and Ursula Le Guin. Alongside Roxanne Coady, she co-edited The Book That Changed My Life: 71 Remarkable Writers Celebrate the Books That Matter Most to Them.
