About The Author

Shere Hite

SHERE HITE is an internationally recognized feminist and cultural anthropologist known for her groundbreaking work on psychosexual behavior and gender relations. She has lectured at prestigious universities worldwide, including the Sorbonne, Harvard, Columbia, Cambridge, Oxford, and the London School of Economics. Hite is also a regular contributor to international newspapers and journals.

From 1972 to 1978, she directed the feminist sexuality project for the National Organization for Women. Since then, she has led Hite Research International, continuing her in-depth study of sexual behavior. Her research has yielded significant discoveries in areas such as male sexuality, teen sexuality, and the impact of globalization on sexuality.
