About The Author

Evan Dorkin

Evan Dorkin (born April 20, 1965)

An American comics artist and writer, Evan Dorkin is most widely recognized for his comic books Milk and Cheese and Dork. His work frequently satirizes fandom, while simultaneously demonstrating his own appreciation for it.

Beyond his comics creations, Dorkin has also contributed to animation. He co-wrote, with his wife Sarah Dyer, episodes of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. He also wrote and produced Welcome to Eltingville, an animated television pilot for Adult Swim based on his own characters, and authored the script for Bring me the Head of Boba Fett.

Dorkin and Dyer also penned several episodes of Superman: The Animated Series, notably “Live Wire,” which introduced a new character of the same name. The couple also contributed to the script for the English-language version of the anime Shin Chan. While an initial order of six episodes was successful, leading to further orders, Dorkin and Dyer have since ceased their involvement with the series.

Dorkin’s work has earned him multiple Eisner Awards, including the 2002 award for Best Writer/Artist: Humor.
