About The Author
A.M. Luzzader
A.M. Luzzader is an award-winning children’s author who specializes in writing chapter books and middle grade novels for preteens. Her fantasy adventure series, “A Mermaid in Middle Grade,” offers a magical coming-of-age story for readers aged 8-12. She is also the author of the children’s mystery adventure series, “Hannah Saves the World,” and “Arthur Blackwood’s Scary Stories for Kids Who Like Scary Stories,” a collection of short horror stories.
Luzzader discovered her passion for writing fun stories for children at a young age. By fourth grade, she was crafting short stories, and in fifth grade, she acquired a typewriter to bring her words to print. In sixth grade, she began adding illustrations to her work. Having now realized her childhood dream, A.M. writes books for children full-time. She was honored as the Writer of the Year for 2019-2020 by the League of Utah Writers.
A mother of a 10-year-old and a 13-year-old, Luzzader often draws inspiration from her children for her stories. She resides in northern Utah with her husband and children. A devoted cat person and avid reader, she enjoys sharing her imaginative tales with young readers.
