What They're Saying

Critics Review

“Priest has been using The World to Come to slowly peel back the layers of how rulership has weighed down who T’Challa really is… His end story for the character has felt more akin to Citizen Kane or The Godfather than The Dark Knight Returns or its endless copycats.” - Comics Beat

“Truly distinctive and engaging.” - KBP Comics

“Delivers on high-level storytelling few others reach.” - Nerd Initiative

“Shakespearean tragedy with a biting edge.” - AIPT

About The Author

Christopher Priest

Writer Christopher Priest has penned many Marvel titles, including Falcon, Power Man and Iron Fist, Conan the Barbarian, Deadpool, and The Crew. He is best known for his stunning revitalization of Black Panther for the Marvel Knights line. Priest co-founded Milestone Comics and co-created the fan-favorite Quantum and Woody for Acclaim Comics. Priest’s later Marvel credits include Captain America & the Falcon, Spider-Force, and U.S.Agent.

Joe Quesada became Marvel’s editor-in-chief in 2000, instilling an excitement and buzz that had been lacking for years. Quesada began as an artist at Valiant and DC during the early 1990s and soon co-founded Event Comics, introducing original characters Ash and Painkiller Jane. By 1998, Quesada’s reputation as both artist and publisher led to the founding of Marvel’s groundbreaking Marvel Knights imprint, with Quesada illustrating the flagship book, Daredevil. Marvel Knights’ critical and sales success led to Quesada’s appointment as editor-in-chief and later chief creative officer. In addition to overseeing Marvel’s creative output, Quesada remained an active writer and artist on projects including the Daredevil: Father miniseries and the Spider-Man “One More Day” crossover.
