Mark Millar
Brian Michael Bendis is an award-winning comic-book creator and one of the most successful writers in the industry. His notable works include acclaimed runs on Daredevil, a renaissance for Marvel’s Avengers franchise, and event projects such as House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege, Age of Ultron, and Civil War II. Bendis wrote every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man from its launch and introduced Miles Morales to the Marvel Universe. He also wrote All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, Invincible Iron Man (introducing Riri Williams as Ironheart), and Defenders. His creator-owned projects include Scarlet, Brilliant, Takio, and the Eisner Award-winning Powers.
Mark Millar is a New York Times best-selling writer known for Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH, and Starlight. Film adaptations of Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2, and The Secret Service (as Kingsman: The Secret Service) have been successful. His DC Comics work includes Superman: Red Son, and for Marvel Comics, he wrote The Ultimates (selected by Time as the comic book of the decade), the Wolverine saga “Old Man Logan,” and Civil War. Millar has served as a producer on adaptations of his work and, following the purchase of his Millarworld comic line by Netflix, remains the company’s president. He was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2013 for his services to film and literature.
Warren Ellis, emerging from the U.K. comics scene, made his mark at Marvel in the early ‘90s with series like Hellstorm and Druid, followed by runs on Excalibur and Doom 2099. He gained prominence with Wildstorm’s Stormwatch, Transmetropolitan, The Authority, and Planetary. Ellis returned to Marvel to write Ultimate Fantastic Four, the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy, and Iron Man. His series Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. was critically acclaimed. He revived the 1980s New Universe with newuniversal, wrote Thunderbolts, took over Astonishing X-Men, and penned the definitive story of Iron Man in “Extremis.” He also offered a memorable take on Moon Knight. His Wildstorm miniseries Red was adapted into a hit movie. Ellis has also written prose fiction, including Crooked Little Vein and the New York Times best-selling novel Gun Machine.
Adam Kubert, son of industry pioneer Joe Kubert, is a recipient of numerous comics-industry achievement awards, including an Eisner Award. His influential runs on Wolverine and Incredible Hulk established him as a superstar, leading to work on X-Men titles and the Onslaught saga. For Marvel, he revisited Wolverine in Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine and Origin II. Kubert contributed to the event series Avengers vs. X-Men and has worked on All-New, All-Different Avengers, Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Captain America. In 2020, he returned to Wolverine for the Dawn of X relaunch.
Stuart Immonen is an award-winning artist who began his comics career in 1988, working for major publishers including Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and Image. His illustrated works for Marvel include Fear Itself, Ultimate Spider-Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Avengers, and the cult-favorite Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.. He inaugurated Marvel’s digital Infinite Comics line with Mark Waid, penciled All-New X-Men during the Marvel NOW! era, and later worked on Star Wars.
