Warren Ellis emerged from the U.K. comics scene to make his mark at Marvel in the early ‘90s with series like Hellstorm and Druid, followed by runs on Excalibur and Doom 2099. He gained prominence with Wildstorm’s Stormwatch, Transmetropolitan, The Authority, and Planetary. Ellis returned to Marvel for Ultimate Fantastic Four, the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy, and Iron Man. His Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. was critically acclaimed. He revived the New Universe with newuniversal, wrote Thunderbolts, took over Astonishing X-Men, and penned the definitive Iron Man: “Extremis”. He also offered a memorable take on Moon Knight. His Wildstorm miniseries Red was adapted into a hit movie. Ellis is also the author of the novels Crooked Little Vein and the New York Times best-selling Gun Machine.
Adam Kubert, son of industry pioneer Joe Kubert, is a multiple award-winning artist, including an Eisner Award and a Wizard magazine award. He has illustrated high-profile Marvel series such as Fear Itself, Ultimate Spider-Man, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Avengers, and the cult-favorite Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E. He co-inaugurated Marvel’s digital Infinite Comics line with Mark Waid, penciled All-New X-Men during the Marvel NOW! era, and later took on the Star Wars line.
