X-Men: Reign of X By Jonathan Hickman Vol. 1

Jonathan Hickman is an award-winning writer and artist known for his critically acclaimed independent titles Pax Romana, Transhuman, and The Nightly News. He collaborated with Brian Michael Bendis to launch Marvel’s Secret Warriors, a spin-off from Secret Invasion. Hickman also wrote the Dark Reign: Fantastic Four limited series, which led into his celebrated runs on Fantastic Four and FF, as well as two S.H.I.E.L.D. series. He contributed to numerous Ultimate Universe titles before bringing his intricate plotting to Avengers and New Avengers, culminating in the universe-altering Secret Wars. His notable Image Comics work includes East of West, Secret, and the Eisner Award-nominated The Manhattan Projects. Hickman returned to Marvel to mastermind the transformative relaunch of its mutant titles, beginning with House of X and Powers of X, and continuing with X-Men.

Leinil Francis Yu’s interest in comics was sparked at age 11 by a copy of How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. Under the tutelage of Whilce Portacio, he landed his first mainstream comics work on Wolverine in 1997. After a successful run, Yu went on to work on titles such as Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, Superman: Birthright, and Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk. Following an extended period developing New Avengers, he and writer Brian Michael Bendis significantly impacted the Marvel Universe with Secret Invasion. Yu has since worked on event comics like Avengers & X-Men: Axis and IVX, as well as Star Wars.

R.B. Silva is a Brazilian artist who established his reputation at DC Comics with work on titles including Superboy, Red Hood and the Outlaws, World’s Finest, and Action Comics. For Marvel, he has contributed to War Machine, Spider-Man and the X-Men, Nova, and the James Patterson adaptation Max Ride: Ultimate Flight. Silva’s collaboration with Jonathan Hickman on Powers of X propelled him to superstardom, a status further solidified by his work on Fantastic Four.

Russell Dauterman is a freelance artist and character designer. His Marvel credits include Cyclops, and he has also worked on titles such as Nightwing, Shadowman, Quantum + Woody, and Supurbia. Dauterman has illustrated children’s books including Shape Up or Bite Me, the Nanny Reilly series, and his own Terry, the Awkward Turtle. He served as a costume illustrator on the films Captain America: The First Avenger and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. His work chronicling Jane Foster’s adventures as Thor cemented his reputation as a bright talent in the industry, a status further confirmed by his collaboration with Jason Aaron on War of the Realms. Dauterman impressed fans with his Giant-Size X-Men collaborations with Jonathan Hickman and his designs for the Hellfire Gala.
