Avengers vs. X-Men

Brian Michael Bendis is an award-winning comic-book creator and one of the most successful writers in the industry. His acclaimed work includes a run on Daredevil, a renaissance for the Avengers franchise, and event projects such as House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege, Age of Ultron, and Civil War II. He wrote every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man from its launch and introduced Miles Morales to the Marvel Universe. Bendis also explored Marvel’s mutants in All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, launched Guardians of the Galaxy, shook up Tony Stark’s world in Invincible Iron Man introducing Riri Williams, and assembled street-level heroes in Defenders. His creator-owned projects include Scarlet, Brilliant, Takio, and the Eisner Award-winning Powers.

Jason Aaron’s early collaboration on DC/Vertigo’s The Other Side was named one of the Washington Post’s Best Comics of 2007. His subsequent project, Scalped, garnered widespread praise and led to a long association with Marvel’s characters, including extensive work on Wolverine, X-Men titles, Original Sin, and multiple Thor series. Aaron steered the Rebel crew in Marvel’s Star Wars series and ushered in a new era with Marvel Legacy. He later took on Avengers and welcomed Conan the Barbarian back to Marvel.

Ed Brubaker is a multiple Eisner Award winner acclaimed for his work on titles such as Scene of the Crime, Sleeper, Catwoman, and Gotham Central. His relaunch of Captain America, introducing the Winter Soldier, and his revisionist take on mutant history in X-Men: Deadly Genesis earned him acclaim. Brubaker continued with Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil with Michael Lark, and Immortal Iron Fist with Matt Fraction and David Aja. His creator-owned works include Criminal, Incognito, Fatale, Velvet, and The Fade Out. He has also written for television, including Westworld, and co-created the crime drama Too Old to Die Young.

Jonathan Hickman is an award-winning writer/artist known for his independent titles Pax Romana, Transhuman, and The Nightly News. At Marvel, he co-launched Secret Warriors, wrote Dark Reign: Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four, FF, and two S.H.I.E.L.D. series. Hickman also penned numerous Ultimate Universe titles before bringing his intricate plotting to Avengers and New Avengers, culminating in the universe-shattering Secret Wars. His lauded Image Comics series include East of West, Secret, and the Eisner Award-nominated The Manhattan Projects. He returned to Marvel to mastermind the transformative mutant relaunch starting with House of X, Powers of X, and X-Men.

John Romita Jr. is a celebrated comic artist, following in the footsteps of his legendary father. His timeless runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, and Daredevil established his distinct artistic voice. His work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is considered explosive 21st-century comic art. Romita Jr. also collaborated with Neil Gaiman on Eternals and with Mark Millar on the creator-owned Kick-Ass. He returned to Amazing Spider-Man for the “Brand New Day” storylines, helped relaunch Avengers with Brian Michael Bendis, and contributed to Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he has drawn characters such as Superman, Batman, and Suicide Squad.

Olivier Coipel gained attention for his exciting work on Avengers and the blockbuster limited series House of M. He illustrated J. Michael Straczynski’s Thor and reunited with Brian Michael Bendis for the Marvel mega-event Siege. His subsequent credits include further work on Thor, Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers vs. X-Men.

Adam Kubert, son of industry pioneer Joe Kubert, is a multiple award winner, including an Eisner Award. His landmark runs on Wolverine and Incredible Hulk led to work on X-Men titles, including the Onslaught saga. His subsequent Marvel efforts include revisiting Wolverine in Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine and Origin II. Kubert contributed to Avengers vs. X-Men and has worked on All-New, All-Different Avengers, Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Captain America. He made a triumphant return to Wolverine for the Dawn of X relaunch.
