Anna Dewdney
Anna Dewdney passed away from cancer in September 2016 at the age of 50. A teacher, mother, and strong advocate for reading aloud to children, she constantly strove to perfect her art as an artist and writer, publishing her first Llama Llama book in 2005. Her passion for creation extended into her home and gardening, where she dedicated herself to restoring an old 18th-century farmhouse in Vermont. There she wrote, painted, gardened, and lived with her partner, Reed, her two daughters, and her three dogs. She was a generous, wonderful, and wise soul who will be greatly missed, and whose spirit will live on through her books.
