About The Author
Paul Allen
Paul Allen (1953-2018) was the billionaire technologist and philanthropist who cofounded Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975. He was also the chairman of Vulcan Inc. and founder of the Allen Institute for Brain Science. During his life he owned various sports teams including the Seattle Seahawks, the Portland Trail Blazers and co-owned the Seattle Sounders pro soccer team. He lived on Mercer Island, Washington and died in 2018 from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
